FINAL FANTASY XIV: PATCH 5.1 IS AVAILABLE!

FINAL FANTASY XIV SHADOWBRINGERS PATCH 5.1

This Tuesday, the 29th, Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers received its first update patch. Entitled “Vows of Virtue, Deeps of Cruelty,” Patch 5.1 was released by Square Enix and is packed with new features.

In addition to the New Game + mode, highly anticipated by gamers for allowing access to previous expansions, the update features the first part of the YoRha: Dark Apocalypse raid.

As such, the 24-player prepared raid features Yosuke Saito and Yoko Taro as guest creators. With an invasion dungeon featuring crossover with the NieR universe, players are driven to fight the machines.

However, another dungeon titled “The Grand Cosmos” is also present in the game. In addition, new main scenario quests, Tribe Quests and a new high difficulty test have been added.

Finally, several action adjustments were made in this new patch. Additional actions have been removed, and the user interface has been improved. In this way, the developers sought to promote a better experience for both beginners and veterans in collecting and crafting items.

Check out the Final Fantasy XIV patch notes 5.1 on the official Square Enix website.

SQUARE ENIX AT E3 2019: DEVELOPER SURPRISES!

Square Enix arrived at E3 2019 ready to surprise. In its panel last night, the developer announced Avengers and the remake of Final Fantasy VII.

AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!

Marvel’s Avengers received its first trailer, featuring elements of gameplay and plot. Although the Avengers game has no connection to the cinematic universe, Marvel’s Avengers will feature characters from the team’s classic line-up: Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Thor and Hulk.

FREEDOM IN JOGABILITY!

In addition, the game will have a single-player and multiplayer mode, which can be played with four people.

On the other hand, those who waited for more information on the remake of Final Fantasy VII were not forsaken in this panel. According to Neal Pabon – senior manager of product marketing for Square Enix -, Final Fantasy VII will have a hybrid gameplay system. In this system, there will be action both in real time and by commands.

That is, the system preserves the basic commands of the game but presents greater possibilities for the player to choose how he will use the ATB bars. When executing commands, enjoying magic, skills or items, an ATB bar is consumed. Thus, throughout the gameplay, there will be options to follow a strategic line or give preference to a more dynamic line when enjoying the bars in combat.

The remake of Final Fantasy VII will also bring other nice features. During the battle will be possible to change the control between Barret and Cloud, maintaining communication between the characters. A slow-motion mode, called Tactical Mode has been added, as well as a command menu with shortcuts for the player to perform certain attacks with greater ease.

Both Marvel’s Avengers and Final Fantasy VII Remake have all been released. Square Enix has announced that the Avengers game will be distributed to PC, PS4, Xbox One and Stadia on May 15, 2020. Final Fantasy VII is scheduled to release on March 3, 2020, initially being exclusively for PS4.
